Jasper Megelink, Manager Production, Technical Sales & Support has been an important member of the Hope Aero team for 40 years. He has vast experience in propeller repair/overhaul, wheel and brake repair/overhaul and non-destructive testing. He holds a Transport Canada AME P-41 license, Canadian General Standards Board (CGSB) Level 2 in Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle Inspection and a Diploma in Aircraft Mechanics. He also holds a private pilot’s license with a night rating.
Jasper has been factory trained in Dowty, Hamilton Sunstrand, Hartzell, Hoffman, McCauley, and MT propellers. He has experience in blade rework on both metal and composite propellers and has worked on fixed pitch, constant speed, turbine and constant speed full-feathering propellers for everything from motorgliders to CC130 to Q400s.
Jasper is a certified member and management co-chair of the Joint Health & Safety Committee.
Since 1990 Jasper has been a volunteer member of the AME Association of Ontario Board of Directors supporting the aviation maintenance community. He has been co-chair of the Ontario AME Workshop and Trade Show since 2002. In 2003 he received the AME Association of Ontario Clare Leavens Award for his contribution to the continued success of the Association.
